BLACK OPAL GH
DutyCalc · Ghana
From CIF to clearance — in seconds

How DutyCalc GH works

A clear, end-to-end flow built for Ghanaian importers and clearing agents.

1. Tell us what you're importing

Pick vehicle or goods. For vehicles, enter make, model, year, engine and CIF. For goods, upload your Bill of Lading, invoice, and packing list — our AI reads them.

2. We do the math

DutyCalc GH applies the latest 2026 ECOWAS CET, GRA tariffs, and levies — including the 2026 removal of the COVID-19 Health Recovery Levy. Per-item HS classification is automated for goods.

3. Get a branded estimate

Itemised tax stack on screen, plus a clean PDF. Save your history, share estimates, and budget your shipment with confidence.

Taxes & levies covered

Every estimate accounts for the full duty stack as charged through ICUMS in 2026.

  • Import Duty (varies by HS code and vehicle category)
  • VAT 15%
  • NHIL 2.5%
  • GETFund Levy 2.5%
  • ECOWAS Levy 0.5%
  • African Union Levy 0.2%
  • EXIM Levy 0.75%
  • Special Import Levy 2% (selected goods)
  • Examination Fee 1%
  • Processing Fee 1%
  • Network Charge 0.4%
  • Vehicle age penalty (10–15 yrs)

A note on accuracy

For vehicles, customs uses an internal Home Delivery Value (HDV) database — not the price you paid abroad — to determine the assessable CIF. To remove the guesswork, we built a free Car Value lookup: paste your VIN and we'll pre-fill your CIF, so your estimate matches the value customs will actually use.

For goods, our AI reads your Bill of Lading, invoice and packing list and suggests an HS code per item. For sensitive shipments, confirm with a licensed customs house agent.
